Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ZeroPaperHub website and document preservation service (the "Service"), operated by ZeroPaperHub from Kochi, Kerala, India. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization.

1. The Service

ZeroPaperHub lets you digitize, organize, store, version, search, and share documents and files. We may add, change, or remove features over time. We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

2. Accounts and organizations

• You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• An organization's administrators control membership, roles, and permissions. Administrators can access, manage, and remove content and members within their organization.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• Notify us promptly at [email protected] of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Your content

• You retain all ownership rights in the documents and files you upload ("Your Content").
• You grant us a limited licence to host, store, copy, transmit, display, and back up Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you.
• You are responsible for Your Content and for having the necessary rights and permissions to store and share it.
• You must maintain your own independent backups of anything critical. The Service is a preservation tool, not a substitute for your own records where the law requires you to keep originals.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload or share content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you have no right to store;
• use the Service to store or distribute malware, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or another organization's data;
• interfere with, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure;
• reverse engineer, resell, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted;
• use the Service in violation of applicable export, sanctions, or data-protection laws.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section, and we may remove content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or the law.

5. Plans, billing, and taxes

• New organizations receive a 2-day free trial with full access; no card is required for the trial. After the trial, continued use of change features requires a paid subscription (Starter) or an Enterprise arrangement. Current pricing and plan limits are shown on our pricing page and in your billing settings.
• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly, unless stated otherwise) through our payment provider, Razorpay. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated. You are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
• We may change plan pricing or features; we will give reasonable notice before a change affects your next renewal.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Cancellation and termination

• You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which the workspace becomes read-only (documents stay viewable and downloadable) until you subscribe again.
• You may delete your account or organization at any time. Deletion is subject to the retention and recovery windows described in our Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if providing the Service becomes commercially impractical. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to export Your Content.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by ZeroPaperHub and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as permitted here.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting, storage, email, and payments. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions beyond our contractual arrangements with them.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, be uninterrupted, or that data loss will never occur.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZeroPaperHub will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service during that period (or ₹5,000 if you use only the free plan).

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold ZeroPaperHub harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kochi, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your place of residence.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
